The Director of Marketing and Advertising develops and implements strategies to strengthen the company’s market presence through partnership, participation, and innovation. Oversees the company’s promotional advertising efforts to drive sales and build brand awareness. Responsibilities include developing an overall marketing plan for a Business to Customer Industry. Approving campaigns and measuring return on investments.
Essential Duties:
· Provide vision, strategic leadership, focus, and perspective for maximum marketing impact
· Drive the branding strategy through innovation and sound business strategies and tactics
· Develop, manage and execute all advertising and marketing programs, budgets, promotions, and initiatives
· Manage relationships with Ace corporate and outside key product vendors to maximize advertising support and exclusive promotional opportunities
· Coordinate the printing of all collateral materials
· Serve as the public relations spokesperson for the company both internally and externally
· Develop strong cross-functional interdepartmental partnerships
· Provide analysis and assessment of results from marketing initiatives and quantify the impact marketing spend has on business results
· Manage charitable donations to align with organizational goals
· Evaluate and leverage the Ace Rewards Club loyalty program
· Manage the Rocky’s website and design pages, WordPress background

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent in Business, Marketing or related field
· Seven to ten years marketing experience, minimum of 5 years as a senior decision maker
· Hardware or other hard-goods industry marketing experience preferred
· Brand development and marketing management experience with an emphasis on retail preferred
· Strong project management / time management skills required
· Knowledge of TV, Radio and Digital OTT/CTV scheduling
· Understanding of social media advertising
· Strong understanding of digital advertising and marketing
· Strong understanding of Google Analytics
Language Ability:
Must be able to read and interpret documents; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
Math Ability:
Should be able to calculate figures and amounts and apply basic concepts of math.
Reasoning Ability:
Should be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; also be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Illustrator, and strong design skills

Travel Requirements:
Travel to stores and marketing agencies required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises the Advertising and Marketing Coordinator.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
· Ability to sit for an extended period of time.
· Lifting at least 7 to 10 lbs on a routine basis; lifting may exceed 20 lbs in certain instances;
· Manual/intellectual dexterity; working with calculators, computers and phones.
· The ability to view paperwork and computer screen at a close proximity.
