Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the Category Managers’ service to our stores and achieving the Merchandising Team’s strategic goals of driving top line sales, maximizing inventory productivity, and striving for profit improvement. This involves delivering Discovery Edge resets and supporting the “Quality Brands” strategy as developed by the ACE merchandising team. The position is also responsible for assisting the Category Managers in managing assortments across the company, assuring that we have the right product in the store at the right time, with the right price, and in the right quantity.

Essential Duties:

  • Assist Category Managers with inventory level maintenance
  • Mango report analysis and action
  • Order point/Minimum Order Point maintenance quarterly order point updates maintenance.
  • Review storeweekly out reports
  • Manage monthly clearance program
  • Manage recalls, stop sales and restrictions from Ace
  • Manage holiday truck schedules and RSC issues
  • Assist to improve stores’ acceptance levels
  • Assist Category Managers with monthly sign template/merchandising guide
  • Build spreadsheet from Pro-Planner meeting notes
  • General proofing signs for accuracy (SKU, pricing, description)
  • Projects including DE resets, new stores, closing stores, remodels
  • SKU maintenance
  • Order placement for product and fixtures
  • Coordination of set-up dates
  • Attend weekly Merchandise Staff meetings and Monthly Merchandise/Operations/Marketing meetings
  • Assist in preparation for vendor meetings
  • Assist with reporting during annual physical inventory
  • Maintain quarterly clipstrip program refresh
  • Maintain Get Credit For Value refresh
  • Assist with the management of daily emails received by the department
  • General proofing of ads for accuracy of SKU, pricing, spelling, copy, description
  • Purchase Order Management including creation and submission to vendors
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Must be able to read and interpret documents.

Math Ability:

Should be able to calculate figures and amounts and apply basic concepts of math..

Reasoning Ability:

Should be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; also be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Must have knowledge of retail computer systems. Microsoft Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of Epicor Eagle a plus.
