Rocky’s Ace Hardware is partnering with the Dayton Dragons to host two action-packed Baseball Block Parties, giving local families the chance to step into the game with interactive skill-building stations, player appearances and a full lineup of entertainment.
Designed for young athletes of all experience levels, these free events combine fundamentals, fun and fan-favorite ballpark traditions in a community setting.
“We’re proud to partner with the Dayton Dragons to create opportunities for families to come together, have fun and build skills in their own community,” said Rocco Falcone, president of Rocky’s Ace Hardware. “Events like these reflect what Rocky’s is all about, being a good neighbor and supporting the communities we serve.”
Saturday, May 16 | 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The first Baseball Block Party will be at Rocky’s Ace Hardware, 251 E Alex Bell Rd in Centerville, featuring a full lineup of skill stations including hitting, pitching, base running, warm-ups and fielding. Dayton Dragons players will sign autographs and help participants hone their skills. Attendees can also enjoy a photo booth with souvenir photos, inflatables, carnival games and a baseball scavenger hunt with chances to win Dragons gear. Mascots Heater and Gem will appear alongside the Dragons Green Team, who will provide balloon animals and temporary tattoos. Complimentary team posters, baseball snacks and more will be available while supplies last.

Held at Rocky’s Ace Hardware, 1950 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, this event is part of PLAYBALL Weekend and will offer interactive skill stations focused on core baseball fundamentals. Families can enjoy a photo booth experience, inflatables, carnival games and a baseball scavenger hunt to redeem Dragons gear. Heater and Gem will return with the Green Team for interactive fun including balloon animals and tattoos. Registered participants will also qualify for a complimentary year of MLB.TV.
