Rocky’s Ace Hardware, one of the country’s largest family-owned Ace Hardware dealers, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest store in Manchester with a board cutting and weekend celebration on Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in Connecticut and officially welcome the Manchester community to Rocky’s,” said Rocco Falcone, president of Rocky’s Ace Hardware. “This store represents what Rocky’s has been about for 100 years: family ownership, helpful service, quality products and a commitment to being a true neighborhood resource.”
The new store, located at the former Smithland Pet and Garden Center site at 33 Adams Street in Manchester, marks Rocky’s 52nd location and its third store in Connecticut, joining locations in Vernon and Stamford. The grand opening comes as Rocky’s celebrates its 100th anniversary as a family-owned and operated business known for carrying products the big-box stores often do not, while delivering the trusted service and neighborhood feel customers have relied on for generations.
A brief ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15, followed by Rocky’s traditional chainsaw board cutting to officially “open” the store. Local officials and community members are invited to attend, and guests will enjoy refreshments, grilling demonstrations, raffles, giveaways and more throughout the celebration. Families are welcome.
The new Manchester store offers a full range of Ace Hardware and top-name-brand product lines, including paint, lawn and garden supplies, grills, outdoor living products, tools, apparel and more, along with Rocky’s signature friendly and knowledgeable customer service. A large garden center, approximately 10,000 square feet, offers a variety of live goods for every season.
