CHEF J’S SIMPLE & JUICY TURKEY BRINE

Great turkey doesn’t have to be complicated. Chef J’s BBQ Provisions Brine takes all the guesswork out of it with a simple mix that delivers big flavor and juicy turkey every time. Get tender, perfectly seasoned turkey without the stress.

  1. Boil & dissolve: Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil, add Chef J’s BBQ Provisions Brine mix, simmer and stir until dissolved.
  2. Cool & mix: Let the brine cool to room temperature, then pour into a large food-safe bucket or brining bag with 2 gallons of ice water.
  3. Submerge & refrigerate: Add the turkey, breast-side down, ensuring it’s fully covered by the liquid (weigh it down if needed), and place in refrigerator. Brine approximately 45 minutes per lb. (e.g., an 18 lb. turkey would be about 13½ hours).

Tips

  • For smaller birds, divide the recipe accordingly.
  • Don’t over-brine—more time is not better and can soften the meat.
