Loud Mouth Smoked Cream Cheese
If you have 5 minutes, you can get the festive, crowd-pleasing Loud Mouth Smoked Cream Cheese appetizer ready for the grill with just 2 ingredients. Then let the wood fire do its thing, making the cheese deliciously gooey and adding a welcome smoky flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of Loud Mouth ZOWIE! Seasoning (available at your local Rocky’s Ace Hardware)
- 8 ounces of cream cheese
- Optional: Your favorite preserves, jam or honey as a topping
- For more sweet and less heat: swap seasoning to Loud Mouth UHH-HUH! Seasoning
Steps
- Preheat your pellet grill with the lid closed to 200˚F; this will take 15 minutes. Line a small baking sheet with foil or have a cast-iron pan handy.
- Place the cream cheese on the prepared baking dish or in the pan. Use a knife to make shallow (about 1/2 -inch deep) crosshatch cuts on top of the cream cheese.
- Generously apply Loud Mouth ZOWIE! Seasoning to the top and sides of the cream cheese.
- Place the baking sheet or pan directly on the grill grates. For best results, use Super Smoke, if available. Close the lid and smoke for 2 hours.
- Remove from grill and serve with crackers or chips. For additional flavor, top with your favorite preserves, jam or honey.
