Rocky’s Ace Hardware is giving away free hand-held flags while supplies last on Saturday, May 24, for Ace Hardware’s one-million Memorial Day flag giveaway program. For each 8” by 12” flag given to a customer, another is donated to a local veterans’ group to be placed at a veteran’s grave to honor their service.
“We want veterans and their families to know we deeply appreciate their sacrifice,” said Rocky’s Ace Hardware President Rocco Falcone. “We’re excited to kick off the summer season, but we also want to remind people that this holiday is about much more. We salute those who risked their lives for our freedom.”
Rocky’s is donating the flags to more than 40 Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) posts in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida.
In addition to this meaningful tradition, Rocky’s is also offering special Memorial Day deals through May 26. Summer essentials are on sale, including certain power tools and grilling and lawncare products.
