Rocky’s Ace Hardware is holding a three-day grand reopening celebration for the renovation of its Dayton store located at 1229 Wilmington Avenue.
“The greater Dayton community has been so welcoming since we purchased nine former Handyman Ace Hardware stores throughout the area in the spring of 2022,” said Falcone. “Since then, we opened a tenth store in Centerville last year, and are updating and improving our other locations, including this one. We’re excited to provide an enhanced shopping experience for our many local customers, and hope they’ll come out and join us for this celebration.”

Thursday, June 6, 11 a.m. — Rocky’s Ace Hardware President and CEO Rocco J. Falcone II will perform his traditional board-cutting ceremony alongside local dignitaries including Chief of Staff for the Commission at the City of Dayton Ms. Verletta Jackson and Dayton City Commissioner Christopher L. Shaw.
Friday, June 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Rocky’s encourages local contractors and construction professionals to come and meet some key vendors including representatives from Benjamin Moore, Stihl and more, and enjoy refreshments and raffles.
Saturday, June 8, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Rocky’s invites its customers and community to bring their families and enjoy a full schedule of activities.
- 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., players from the Dayton Dragons baseball team will be on hand, and kids can take part in a Golden Scavenger Hunt for fun and prizes.
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., representatives from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton will be on site with adoptable pets to meet.
- 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., K99.1 will broadcast live from the celebration.
The community celebration will also feature refreshments, raffles, special offers, giveaways and more, including a drawing for a free Weber Spirit grill. Select brand representatives from Weber, Big Green Egg and Traeger will offer grilling demonstrations and be available to answer questions.
Visitors to the newly renovated Wilmington Avenue store will discover a new, streamlined store layout and improved shopping experience, including better lighting and shelving. The store now also boasts brand new grilling and Stihl power departments.
